Damon Hill x Halow Project Karting Day – 21st June

P4 at the Damon Hill Halow project 2hr 30min endurance race

The team qualified in P7 for the charity endurance race at Sandown Park. The Mensah Racing Power by Driven By Us Team quickly made up places, before undercutting the field with 3 driver change stops and a fuel stop. This proved successful as the drivers were able to work their way back up to 2nd position in the final 1 hour and began chasing the leader down.

During the last hour of the race we received a penalty for exceeding track limits, which the Team Manager felt was quite harsh but we still maintained second place.

The team unfortunately received another penalty, this time for speeding in the pit lane. This penalty caused us to drop the order to 3rd place. Aaron battled hard but lost out, meaning that we finished in 4th place.

Despite the drivers being inexperienced with the circuit, it was an impressive result.
